General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Technico Privacy Notice

 

Regulation (EU) 2016/6791, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), regulates the processing by an individual, a company or an organisation of personal data relating to individuals in the EU. It took effect on May 25th 2018.

As a business which holds personal data relating to our staff / your company, we are legally obliged to inform our staff and our customers and other contacts of what we hold for you and how we will use it.

Listed below is the information we keep on our records for our staff and our customers:

  • Staff Name/Company Name
  • Company Address
  • Company Contacts
  • Telephone numbers as supplied by you
  • Various e-mail addresses as supplied you
  • VAT Number
  • Bank Account Details

We also collect information about customers when you fill in forms on www.technico.ie,  for example by sending us an enquiry or making a credit card payment. Please note we do not see nor retain credit card details. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

Information about staff/customers is backed up and stored for security and loss prevention purposes.

Technico is the only party that can access the data.

We use data relating to our customers to facilitate trading with you and your company and for general correspondence with your staff. We use data relating to our staff for contractual and contact purposes.

Your company / personal information is only given to our staff to carry out the services you / your company have requested and it is never passed on or sold on to any third parties.

We do not use the information we hold for direct marketing by Technico or third parties.

You have the right to access the personal information Technico holds for you – to do so please email info@technico.ie or write to us at 162 Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin 3, D03 F6YO. You can ask us to send it directly to you or to another organization.

Technico keeps your data for six years and then reviews it. Information no longer in use or required will be deleted.

You have the right to have inaccuracies in your data corrected, and you also have the right to restrict the processing of information or to have it erased.

When you give us personal information, we take steps to make sure that it is treated as securely as possible.

By working for us or trading with us you agree to us retaining your information on record.
